The Digium R800 is an Eight (8) Port Analog R-Series Failover Appliance that, in the event of a hardware or software problem on your primary server, redirects all circuits to the backup.
With the R800 and other necessary hardware, you will only experience an interruption of a few seconds.
This is the analog R-Series failover appliance.
Lines from the telephone company are routed to your Digium R800, which delivers service to Digium interface ports on the active server. If there happens to be a hardware or software problem in the primary server, the R800 reroutes all circuits to the backup server.
Control signaling is handled with USB ports which also power the Digium R800 to save energy over the lifetime of the appliance.
