Axis Q1728 is a 4K Ultra HD surveillance camera with the power to use AI to improve your safety. Q1728 is designed to fit multiple camera enclosures: first-party, third-party, and even custom-built enclosures. Because it gives you options, you can reuse an existing enclosure to save on resources or buy a new opne to suit a new use-case. As an IP security camera, Q1728 delivers 4K Ultra HD video using a large sensor. The large sensor improves lowlight performance, as does Lightfinder 2.0 technology. Forensic WDR lets it deal with challenging lighting to retain more necessary information.

Q1728 is powered by the purpose-built Axis ARTPEC-9 processor, which has an integrated deep learning processing unit. This custom CPU enables advanced features like Axis Live Privacy Shield, which uses AI-based dynamic masking to protect individuals' privacy while still giving you all the evidence you require. Axis Object Analytics automatically categorizes objects like vehicles or people, making scene analysis more efficient. And Axis Image Health Analytics checks image-quality and field of view to ensure the camera is doing what it should be doing. The new CPU also enables support for AV1 video compression, which lowers bandwidth and storage requirements. Store video using a NAS or NVR solution, or in-camera using a microSD card. Axis Q1728 is ONVIF Profile G, M, S, and T compliant. The camera supports the optional Axis License Plate Verifier feature for real-time license plate reading.

This model of Axis Q1728 (02840-001) comes with a wide-angle 48 mm lens. Q1728 is also available with a telephoto 13 mm lens: search for Axis 02839-001.
