Axis Q9216-SLV is a stainless steel IP camera that resists ligatures. The camera's rugged, corner mounted design reduces opportunities for self harm and vandalism for installation in highly sensitive environments like psychiatric wards and prisons. As a surveillance camera, it takes highly detailed 4MP video using a professional CMOS sensor. The wide angle lens covers the entire scene to ensure that no corner is missing. Polygonal privacy masking allows you to maintain subject privacy. The built-in infrared lights offer discreet surveillance even in pitch black conditions.

Axis Q9216-SLV comes with enhanced security features to protect the camera system, like signed firmware and secure boot. The camera has a Trusted Platform Module for private storing all passwords and certificates, even in the event of a security breach. It uses Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology to deal with high contrast lighting, like strong shadows or sunlight through windows. H.265 video compression plus Axis Zipstream greatly improve the efficiency of the video feed to reduce storage and bandwidth load.
