Every business day for the month of November, we will be posting a useful tip for 3CX, a powerful SIP-based unified communications platform.
For video conferencing to fully replace traditional conferencing, it’s necessary to have every component of the traditional conference be present and easily managed. Passing someone a sheet of paper with a chart on it is so easy that a child could do it, yet it’s surprising how hard it can be to share a document while video conferencing.
3CX makes it simple to share documents like PDFs.
Note: All members of the conference need to install the 3CX WebMeeting plug-in for video conferencing.
How to Share a Document in 3CX
You can add the file to what 3CX calls a “Shared Document Repository” either before or during the video conference. Just follow these steps:
- Press the paperclip button
- Add the file to the “Shared Document Repository.”
- Choose if you want to upload, preview, delete, or share the file.
The file is automatically saved, and everyone will be able to see it. If you want to stop sharing the file, just click the “Stop Sharing” button.
