Telemedicine is becoming a regular experience for patients, doctors, nurses and caretakers in healthcare environments.
Video conferencing for medicine requires specific security measures for confidentiality. It requires ultra-reliable equipment that you can clean. And medical conferencing solutions used in hospitals and care centers also need to be mobile.
Mobile telemedicine systems enable healthcare workers and patients to access potentially life-saving help — no matter where they are.
Additionally, they allow the organizations to use AV resources more effectively — saving money. How?
A stationary video conferencing installation will be located in one room, requiring the doctor or patient to be in that room and only that room.
A mobile telemedicine system allows a hospital to have a video conferencing system on a cart to wheel to different rooms for different doctors to use — much more efficient. Or you can move the system to patients on different beds.
In rural locations where staff might be limited, a mobile medical cart enables a remote doctor to visit with patients across the entire hospital.
These are only some of the use-cases enabled by mobile telemedicine solutions.
AVTEQ Telemedicine Carts
AVTEQ make some of the most trusted AV carts and installed conferencing solutions on the market.
They also have a dedicated line of telemedicine stands and carts for establishing an ultra-reliable mobile telemedicine system.
All the carts are made from 100% solid steel, which means they are ultra-durable.
You can clean the TMP Series carts using standard hospital grade, diluted cleaners, including non-abrasive and non-corrosive solutions like ammonia enzyme cleaners, bleach or alcohol solutions, hydrogen peroxide and similar.
They are TAA Compliant, which means they meet the requirements for US Government projects.
There are currently four models in the series:
Let’s take a look.
AVTEQ TMP-100
TMP-100 is a mobile stand for a small display or tablet, like an Apple iPad.
The stand is particularly useful for enabling doctors and nurses to quickly check patient records. For example, a nurse could move a tablet to each bed in the ward to go over records while keeping their hands free.
The stand supports standard VESA mount options — 75 x 75, 100 x 100 and 200 x 200 — for secure installation of the display or tablet.
AVTEQ TMP-200
TMP-200 is a lightweight and slim profile telemedicine cart.
The slim profile means it is excellent for moving the system between rooms via hallways and other constrained spaces.
It holds a single display up to 37-inch or dual displays up to 32-inch. It has an adjustable shelf for the video conferencing camera.
In addition, it has a large work surface for a keyboard or for medical equipment and a pullout drawer for holding supplies.
AVTEQ TMP-300
TMP-300 combines a compact design with storage space — versatile. So the telemedicine cart is especially useful in smaller clinics and long-term care centers.
The storage space includes 8U rack mount space for securing installing video conferencing equipment. It has a medical surge protector for convenience and physical security of your devices. The storage space has a locking front door.
It supports a single, large 40-inch display, has an adjustable video camera shelf, and pullout drawer for necessary supplies.
The 5-inch dual-wheel casters mean the cart is stable and smooth as you transport it from room to room — over carpet or hard floors. Two of the casters lock when the cart is stationary.
AVTEQ TMP-600
For hospitals that need large amounts of storage space with their telemedicine system, check out TMP-600.
Like TMP-300, it has a locking storage space. This cart, however, has 16RU rack mount space with a medical surge protector — lots of space.
TMP-600 holds a single display up to 40-inch or dual display up to 32-inch. The adjustable video camera shelf lets you position it properly.
The cart has large 6-inch dual-wheel casters for smooth rolling across any surface. Two of the casters lock when the cart is stationary.
