Grandstream GRP2624 & GRP2634: New Affordable IP Phones Featuring Wi-Fi

In recent years, Grandstream has become one of the most trusted manufacturers of budget-friendly, professional VoIP endpoints. Grandstream IP Phones are known for integrating with an enormous range of VoIP phone systems while offering HD audio quality and progressive, business-enhancing features.

But the company isn’t resting on their laurels. They continue to push the envelope and innovate, providing businesses with cost-effective communications solutions.

Witness their latest IP phones:

These two phones have integrated Wi-Fi so you can put them wherever you want. Wi-Fi IP phones are particularly convenient for home workers who’d rather not run Ethernet cabling around their house. But that’s far from everything the two phones offer.

Let’s take a look!

Grandstream GRP2624 and GRP2634 IP Phones

Grandstream GRP2624 & Grandstream GRP2634

Grandstream GRP2624 and Grandstream GRP2634 share many features. They’re part of the Grandstream GRP Series of Carrier-Grade IP Phones, which means every model has unified firmware, making them ultra-simple for mass deployment and management.

Both are 8-line VoIP phones with support for 4 SIP accounts. They have 2.8-inch color main displays with 8 line keys with multicolor LEDs plus 4 soft keys for navigating menus.

They are wireless desk phones, supporting dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi for exceptional performance. Or you can connect them via their Gigabit Ethernet ports. When you use Wi-Fi, you power them using the included power supply. When you use Ethernet, you can power them using PoE.

They offer HD audio quality via the handset and speakerphone with noise shield technology to greatly reduce background distractions. For hands-free talking, you can use a Bluetooth headset, because it has built-in Bluetooth support. In addition, you can connect a plug-and-play USB headset using the USB-A port or an RJ9 headset, including Poly EHS options.

What is the difference between Grandstream GRP2624 and Grandstream GRP2634?

We’ve covered how they’re the same. How are the two phones different? It’s all about the customizable keys.

If you want more keys with Grandstream GRP2624, it supports the Grandstream GXP20 Expansion Module. Each expansion module has a 4.3-inch color display with 20 customizable keys with multicolor LEDs. Because GXP20 supports two pages of keys, you get 40 additional customizable keys per module. And you can daisy-chain up to 4 GXP20s, giving you a potential 160 keys to add to your phone.

Grandstream GRP2634, on the other hand, has an integrated sidecar that gives you 10 additional customizable key with LEDs, which you can use for speed dialing extensions and other operations.

GRP2634 does not support expansion modules.

So if you’re a real power user who requires lots and lots of extra keys, go for GRP2624 with expansion modules. If you want some extra keys without buying additional devices, go for GRP2634.
