Fanvil continues to innovate in the business communications space.
They have rapidly become a go-to brand for cost-conscious businesses that want to stay in the black without giving up any audio performance or features.
With the new XU Series, Fanvil brings premier features to entry-level price-points.
The phones (except for X3U) feature an integrated sidecar that acts as a built-in expansion module to provide more multi-purpose keys for more quick actions.
With color displays across the series and HD audio quality making voices sound crystal-clear, there is so much to recommend about the new Fanvil phones.
All of them run the open SIP protocol, making them compatible with an enormous range of VoIP systems and services, including 3CX, Avaya, and Broadsoft. All of them offer Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and PoE compliance.
The Fanvil XU Series features four models:
Let’s take a closer look.
Fanvil X6U IP Phone
Fanvil X6U is the flagship phone of the Fanvil XU series, perfect for executives and power users.
X6U features three displays: a large primary display and two secondary displays.
The 4.3” primary display has 5 line keys with multicolor LEDs for call control and quick actions, as well as 4 soft keys for contextual navigation. It supports 20 SIP lines.
The secondary displays have 6 line keys with LEDs each. The phone supports up to 60 multi-purpose keys across virtual screens that you can customize for quick actions: speed dial, intercom, and more.
In other words, you get the equivalent of two standard expansion modules built in.
Fanvil makes the phones easy to operate with clear, dedicated buttons for conference call, phonebook, transfer, voicemail, headset, and more. The local phonebook holds 2000 entries.
X6U also features native Bluetooth support, giving you a convenient option for connecting a wireless headset with your phone for hands-free communications. The RJ9 headset port supports Plantronics (Poly) and Jabra EHS cables for an additional wireless option.
The phone also has a USB-A port, which enables two things. You can enable Wi-Fi connectivity using the plug-and-play Fanvil WF20 Wi-Fi USB Dongle, making it into a wireless desk phone. Or you can record calls locally using a USB stick.
As with all the new XU phones, X6U offers HD wideband audio from the hearing aid compatible handset and full-duplex speakerphone with acoustic echo cancellation.
Improving sound quality improves comprehension and increases trust in clients or customers.
Fanvil X5U IP Phone
Fanvil X5U is a mid-range phone for productivity in busy cubicles.
X5U features a 3.5” color display with 4 line keys with multicolor LEDs and 4 soft keys. It supports 16 SIP lines.
The secondary display has 6 line keys and supports virtual pages, giving you a total 30 multi-purpose keys, the equivalent of a full standard expansion module.
It has dedicated buttons for phonebook, conference call, and more. The local phonebook holds 2000 entries.
It features a native Bluetooth radio for wireless headsets and an RJ9 port for wired headsets with EHS support for wireless.
The USB port enables Wi-Fi connectivity with the Fanvil WF20 dongle or local call recording without requiring additional licensing.
Fanvil X4U IP Phone
Fanvil X4U brings many of the same features to the everyday VoIP phone for low to moderate use around the office.
X4U has a 2.8” color display with 3 line keys with multicolor LEDs and 4 soft keys. It supports 12 SIP lines.
As with the X5U, the secondary display has 6 line keys and supports virtual pages, so you get 30 multi-purpose keys in total.
It has dedicated keys for voicemail, conference call, and more. The local phonebook holds 1000 entries.
X4U does not support Bluetooth natively, but you can use the USB port to add Bluetooth connectivity using the plug-and-play Fanvil BT20 Bluetooth USB Dongle. Or use it to add Wi-Fi connectivity or local call recording.
Fanvil X3U IP Phone
Fanvil X3U is an entry-level VoIP phone that provides HD audio and VoIP features to basic users.
X3U has a 2.8” color display with 3 line keys with multicolor LEDs and 4 soft keys. It’s the only model in the XU series without an integrated sidecar, but it does support 6 SIP lines.
It has the same dedicated keys as the X4U and X5U: conference call, headset, hold, transfer, phonebook, and more. The local phonebook holds 1000 entries.
As with the other models in the series, X3U supports the adaptable Opus audio codec for efficient wideband audio communications.
It offers enterprise-class security and network features, including OpenVPN privacy, auto-provisioning via HTTPS, VLAN and QoS controls, and much more.
