Connect Your Way

Plantronics Blackwire 5200 headsets feature dual connectivity: USB and 3.5mm. You can get models with either a USB Type-A or a USB Type-C plug.

USB Type-A is what most people just call “USB.” USB Type-C is the smaller port that's found on many Android phones and the new MacBooks. It’s considered to be the port of the future, because it is more versatile than USB-A and provides much more bandwidth. Getting USB-C headsets future-proofs your business communications deployment.

What about 3.5mm? Blackwire 5200 headsets can also plug into any 3.5mm jack, like on a smartphone or a tablet. The cord that attaches to the headset ends with a 3.5mm plug, so you can plug it directly into a mobile device. The headset also comes with an extension cord. This cord has an inline control with a 3.5mm jack in it. The other end of the cord is either a USB-A or USB-C plug. So you can insert the 3.5mm plug into the extension cord, and then plug into any compatible USB device, gaining inline controls.

So you get a versatile plug-and-play solution, compatible with Skype for Business and other unified communications platforms.

Feature Rich

Plantronics business headsets include professional features.

Plantronics Blackwire 5200 headsets provide wideband audio, so you get a rich, natural conversation. The over-the-head band is metal with a cushion, so you get all-day comfort and long-lasting durability. The leatherette ear cushions, which fold flat when you need to store the headset, are soft, almost luxurious on your ears. The flexible microphone boom flips up and out of the way when you don’t need it. The microphone and speakers feature noise cancellation technology.

Plantronics includes technology for helping the conversation and protecting your ears. SoundGuard DIGITAL technology limits very loud sounds. Anti-startle tech protects against sudden noises. Using Plantronics Hub software, you can even get statistics, including how much time the user has spent hearing loud noises, defined as over 85 dBA.
