CyberData call themselves The IP Endpoint Company for a reason: they manufacturer first-class network-connected solutions for communications. Innovative and with an eye to what the market needs, CyberData has just released an intercom that reduces the spread of infectious diseases.
CyberData 011530 Hand-Wave SIP Intercom eliminates the need to touch the intercom to place a call. Rather than having you press a button or touchpad to initiate a call, it has a sensor that detects when you wave your hand in front of it, like an automatic sink faucet or paper towel dispenser.
Whether you want to call it a hand-wave intercom, hands-free intercom, touch-free intercom, touchless intercom, gesture-activated intercom or whatever, if you want an indoor IP intercom that offers HD audio quality and ultra-reliable construction while improving sanitation, CyberData 011530 is a great option.
Let’s take a closer look.
CyberData 011530 SIP Intercom
CyberData 011530 is a simple device to explain: it’s an excellent intercom with a gesture sensor, so people don’t need to touch anything to place a call. Even better, the stainless-steel faceplate is designed to be simple to clean, so you can improve sanitation that way, too.
You can choose the pickup range of the sensor: 2, 4 or 6 inches.
011530 is ideal for sensitive locations like hospitals or other medical establishments, assisted living facilities, manufacturing plants and so on. In today’s world, it’s also an excellent choice for reducing shared contact in high traffic areas like schools or colleges, warehouses, malls, retail stores and so on.
It’s a SIP intercom, which means it runs the open SIP communications protocol, making it compatible with an enormous range of IP paging systems, IP phone systems and cloud-based services. For more information, here’s CyberData’s page: Connecting to Compatible IP-PBX Servers [external link].
The intercom supports SIP and Multicast simultaneously, which allows you to use it as part of a distributed paging solution. You can even use it as a loud ringer or night ringer. Being an IP intercom lets you manage it centrally through the network.
It also has a dry relay contact for control over a peripheral, so you can use it for operating a door strike. It’s intended for indoor, flush-mount installation, providing a clean look to the location. You can set a tamper alert signal for additional physical security.
