Yealink RoomPanel Simplifies Microsoft Teams Meetings

As we move back into the office, the efficiency of setting up a remote Microsoft Teams video conference with a few clicks is something we now take for granted.

How do you transfer this efficiency into a workplace where you use a physical room for Microsoft Teams conference calls?

Yealink RoomPanel is a simple, always available solution for not only scheduling meetings, but also checking to see if a room is free at a glance and more. Install RoomPanel outside the meeting room and everyone will have access to this convenient device.

Let’s dig into this exciting new product.

Yealink RoomPanel In Office

What Is Yealink RoomPanel for Microsoft Teams?

Yealink RoomPanel is an 8-inch Android tablet with integrated high-visibility LED bars on both ends. The LED bars serve as visual notifications for everyone to know the status of the room — available or busy — with a look. It makes your Microsoft Teams meetings more efficient and convenient.

RoomPanel provides a native Microsoft Teams experience. You can view details of current and forthcoming conferences on it. Reserve a time slot with just a tap, perfect for impromptu meetings. Or reserve the meeting space as normal via the Teams app, Outlook or the Office 365 calendar. Because it connects to your network, it’s always up to date, no matter how you setup the meeting.

You can connect wirelessly to RoomPanel using Bluetooth. For security, it has embedded RFID and NFC support.

RoomPanel features embedded ambient light sensors to optimize screen light levels and proximity sensors to wake up when someone approaches. In addition, it has occupancy sensors that will allow it to update the room status automatically. Support for the occupancy sensors is coming soon.

Mount RoomPanel in either portrait or landscape orientation. A mount accessory kit will be arriving soon for mounting it at a tilt and other options.

You can connect RoomPanel to your network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. It supports 802.11 ac 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi, which means excellent speed and performance in locations with competing Wi-Fi devices, like most offices. If you connect it via Ethernet, you can also power it using Power Over Ethernet (PoE) from a PoE switch or PoE injector. Manage it remotely through the network.
