Viking PRX-2 Proximity Card Reader with Keypad

Viking PRX-2 is a proximity card reader with keypad for secure access control. Designed for indoor or outdoor installation, PRX-2 enables contactless entry control as a 125 KHz RFID reader with 6-inch read range. It also enables secure entry with a PIN via its capacitive touch keypad with blue LED backlighting and raised key outlines. Because it uses a non-mechanical touch interface, it has no moving parts that can fail. PRX-2 is a compact device that you mount on a standard 1-gang wall box.

PRX-2 is built for durability. It has Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) with sealed connections, an epoxy potted circuit board, and more. EWP makes it perfect for locations with increased precipitation or condensation. PRX-2 meets the IP66 durability standard. It has an extended operating temperature range of -40°F to 150°F. It comes with black and ash (off-white) covers to suit the installation location.
