Viking PRX-3 Medium Range Proximity Card Reader

Viking PRX-3 is a high-performance proximity card reader with extended read range. Designed for indoor or outdoor installation, PRX-3 provides secure, contactless access control. It is a 125 KHz RFID reader with extended read range of up to 16 inches, making it ultra-convenient for users. It is particularly effective for parking control when users are in their vehicles. Mount PRX-3 to a non-metallic wall, post, or 1-gang electric box, or use an optional mounting kit for gooseneck stand mounting.

PRX-3 is both weather-resistant and vandal-resistant. It features Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) with sealed connections and fully potted electronics, making it suitable for installation where it will face increased precipitation or condensation. Its single-piece chassis design with concealed mounting screws makes it highly vandal resistant. PRX-3 meets the IP66 durability standard and has an extended operating temperature range of -40°F to 150°F.
