Viking PRX-5 Proximity Card Reader with Keypad

Viking PRX-5 is a proximity card reader with built-in keypad that's designed for mullion-mounting. Built for indoor or outdoor installation, PRX-5 combines a 125 KHz proximity card reader with a familiar keypad to provide two methods of secure door entry. Use a compatible RFID card or keyfob, or set up PINs for entry via the keypad. It has a 5-inch read range. The touch keypad is capacitive, so there are no moving parts. It's backlit with a blue LED and the keys have raised outlines, making it easier to use.

PRX-5 is made for long-term usage. It measures less than two inches wide, making installation on mullions simple. PRX-5 features Viking's Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) with sealed connections and an epoxy potted circuit board, which means it's suitable for locations with increased precipitation or condensation. PRX-5 meets the IP66 durability standard and has an extended operating temperature range of -40°F to 149°F.
