Viking CTG-2A Networked Clock Controlled Tone/Message Generator and Master Clock

Viking CTG-2A is a network-connected paging device with two use-cases. It can generate tones or messages and broadcast them over your paging system at accurate times. It also can act as the master clock for a Viking CL Series Wireless Clock system. As a tone/message generator, it supports up to 6 minutes of CD-quality WAV file audio storage for up to 14 different tones or messages. It comes with tones, but you can use your own custom tones or messages. It supports up to 14 schedules and up to 1,000 events. You can set the time in three ways: manually, synchronized with 50/60 Hz power, or via NTP (Network Time Protocol). NTP syncs the time with network/internet time, ensuring it will automatically be up-to-date and accurate, even with the shifts of Daylight Savings Time. The device comes with its own programming software and connects to the network via a standard Ethernet cable.

CTG-2A has four programmable trigger inputs, which are particularly useful for emergency alerts to indicate a fire evacuation, lock down, all clear, and more. It has a built-in 1W mono audio amplifier, one mono line level preamp input and audio output, and more. To connect to a Viking CL-RFT Transmitter/Repeater (not included) as part of a wireless clock system, it has RS485 clock SYNC terminals. Power it via the included power adapter.
